Submitting an Application

Complete the University of Minnesota online Graduate School Application

The Graduate School requires all applicants to complete their application online. We encourage applicants to have their materials submitted to the Graduate School and the Conservation Biology graduate program by December 15, 2007 to assure maximum consideration for assistantships and fellowships. Most fellowship decisions are made by mid-January. However, we will also consider applications submitted after this deadline until March 15, 2008.

In addition to completing the Graduate School Application, please submit the following two program specific items in the Graduate School's online application.

Graduate Program Supplementary Information - We require you to upload only your CV or resume.

Recommendations - Three letters of recommendation from persons acquainted with your academic and professional experience should be submitted. At least two of the three recommendation letter writers should be from academic situations. We recommend that letters be written on official letterhead stationary and uploaded to the Graduate School's online system. Both a letter of recommendation (narrative evaluation) and the evaluation form are required.
